Incomplete First Contact calls are our #1 leading cause of automatic funding denials, so if speed matters to you:
Make First Contact Your First Priority
- 87% of Consumers Screen Calls From Unrecognized Numbers (Numo)
We have several dozen underwriters, each with their own phone number, and you will not recognize any of them. - 86% of Consumers Never Call Back A Number They Don’t Recognize (Numo)
If you don’t recognize the number or call it back, you can’t get approved for funding. - 58% of Voicemail Boxes Are Full and Cannot Accept New Messages
A full mailbox means no message, no callback number, and no First Contact. - 90% of Voicemails From Unrecognized Numbers Are Never Listened To (SellCell)
90% chance you won’t listen to the message, call them back, or finish First Contact. - 27% of Attorneys Do Not Make Contact With the Underwriter
This happens when the client hasn’t let their attorney know they applied for funding from TriMark, and to be on the lookout for our call.
- Contact Your Attorney And Bring Them Up To Speed
This is IMPORTANT. Call, text, or email them immediately — however you normally communicate, and inform them that:- You applied for a non-recourse lawsuit advance from TriMark Legal Funding
- We’ll be sending them a document request via email (assuming you provided it), and you’d like them to respond to it without delay
- Our underwriter will be reaching out to them to discuss your case, so expect the call
- If the underwriter leaves them a message, ask them to please return the call at once
- Delete All Old Voicemail Messages
It only takes 30 seconds and frees up space for new ones, just in case. - Turn Up The Volume on Your Phone
First Contact is no time for vibration mode, so crank up the volume. - Answer or Open Every Call, Text, and Email You Get
Just until First Contact is completed. - Check Voicemail, Text, and Email Every 15 Minutes
If you missed them, call, text, or email them back at once. - When They Call, Get Their Contact Details
You may need to get in touch during underwriting, so having phone, text, and email is smart.
