— Do Not Ignore This Step —

Complete this step now to avoid the most common and most preventable processing deal-breaker of them all.

Thank you for trusting TriMark with your funding needs.

Important – Do This Now

To ensure the fastest possible approval and funding, please read and complete the brief steps at the bottom.

First Contact

Before we can process or approve your funding request, one of our underwriters must briefly speak with you and your attorney about your case and injuries.

We call this initial phone call “First Contact”, and it’s such a big deal that nothing else happens with your case until after it’s done.

Incomplete First Contact calls are our #1 leading cause of automatic funding denials, so if speed matters to you:

Make First Contact Your First Priority

Our Underwriters

TriMark Legal Funding receives applications 24/7/365. But like most lawyers, our underwriters only work normal business hours (9-6, M-F). They also span the country, so your First Contact could come from any of several dozen numbers.

It is strongly recommended that you stop screening your calls while awaiting First Contact and make every effort to answer their first call. It’s the best way to avoid unnecessary processing delays.

If you miss their first call, they’ll try to contact you 2 or 3 times and leave messages if possible. If you don’t answer or call them back within 2-3 attempts, they’ll assume you’re no longer interested, pause or cancel your funding request, and move on to the next client.

Call Screening

With call screening, unrecognized numbers go straight to voicemail. Out of sight and out of mind…forever.

But here’s the rub: For our underwriters, call screening can make it virtually impossible to speak with, or ever get a callback from, clients who have applied for funding. Simply put, for clients who need money quickly, call screening while awaiting First Contact is just about the worst idea ever.

Numbers Don’t Lie

We know call screening is normal — but in this one situation, it can derail the entire process. Statistically, only about 70% of applicants answer First Contact on the first call. Processing for the other 30% is delayed — and often denied — because the applicants are unreachable.

We don’t want that to happen to you.

  • 87% of Consumers Screen Calls From Unrecognized Numbers (Numo)
We have several dozen underwriters, each with their own phone number, and you will not recognize any of them.
  • 86% of Consumers Never Call Back A Number They Don’t Recognize (Numo)
If you don’t recognize the number or call it back, you can’t get approved for funding.
  • 58% of Voicemail Boxes Are Full and Cannot Accept New Messages
A full mailbox means no message, no callback number, and no First Contact.
  • 90% of Voicemails From Unrecognized Numbers Are Never Listened To (SellCell)
90% chance you won’t listen to the message, call them back, or finish First Contact.
  • 27% of Attorneys Do Not Make Contact With the Underwriter
This happens when the client hasn’t let their attorney know they applied for funding from TriMark, and to be on the lookout for our call.

Help Us Help You

You can eliminate those problems and help us expedite your funding request by completing the following steps:

  1. Contact Your Attorney And Bring Them Up To Speed
This is IMPORTANT. Call, text, or email them immediately — however you normally communicate, and inform them that:
    1. You applied for a non-recourse lawsuit advance from TriMark Legal Funding
    2. We’ll be sending them a document request via email (assuming you provided it), and you’d like them to respond to it without delay
    3. Our underwriter will be reaching out to them to discuss your case, so expect the call
    4. If the underwriter leaves them a message, ask them to please return the call at once
  2. Delete All Old Voicemail Messages
It only takes 30 seconds and frees up space for new ones, just in case.
  3. Turn Up The Volume on Your Phone
First Contact is no time for vibration mode, so crank up the volume.
  4. Answer or Open Every Call, Text, and Email You Get
Just until First Contact is completed.
  5. Check Voicemail, Text, and Email Every 15 Minutes
If you missed them, call, text, or email them back at once.
  6. When They Call, Get Their Contact Details
You may need to get in touch during underwriting, so having phone, text, and email is smart.

That’s It

Completing First Contact on the first call is the fastest way to move your funding request into high gear. We’re here to help, so if you have any questions or concerns, get in touch.

And with that, there’s only one thing left for you to do.
