Alleged road rage driver killed in crash near Flagstaff

Police are investigating a traffic death as a possible road rage incident in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Townsend-Winona Road and Oakwood Pines for reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Once deputies arrived on the scene they located a Ford Explorer and a Chevy Equinox as the vehicles involved.

John Kuczwanski killed in Tallahassee road rage incident

Kuczwanski was arrested for a separate road rage incident at the same intersection in 2014.

John Kuczwanski, the Legislative Affairs Director for the State Board of Administration, was killed in a shootout triggered by a road rage incident in north Tallahassee.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office took one person into custody after the Jan. 6 incident, however that person has since been released and no charges have been filed, according to a LCSO news release.

The office issued an initial statement reporting a fatal shooting that occurred last Thursday, shortly after 5 p.m.,

Road rage in 2021

The rise of COVID-19 cases isn’t the only growing problem in the Houston area — road rage incidents have been taking a toll on local authorities and making roads dangerous for many.

From January through April this year, law enforcement agencies reported 107 road rage crashes in Harris County, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Road rage at this point is synonymous with Houston traffic.

To an average person, it would be easy to assume that there are a bunch of people in Houston who have just flat-out lost their damn minds. What is with all the road rage?

Just this year alone, there have been more than a dozen road rage incidents, including deadly cases. Here are some of the incidents KPRC 2 has reported on so far in 2021:
